[Think of 15 albums that had such a profound effect on you they changed your life or the way you looked at it. They sucked you in and took you over for days, weeks, months, years. These are the albums that you can use to identify time, places, people, emotions. These are the albums that no matter what they were thought of musically shaped your world. When you finish, tag others, including me. Make sure you copy and paste this part so they know the drill. Get the idea now? Good. Tag, you're it!]

There's a lot of music that I've liked, and it's difficult to straighten out what's shaped me.

There are a lot of songs that have shaped me, but I never owned the albums.

So I'm gonna go this way:  A LOT of the 15 are going to be personal "firsts."  A lot of them are going to be milestone albums for me.  And, yeah, there are a few in here that are just high quality.  And there are a lot of them that I associate with times of my life.

So here we go, in no particular order:

It's inevitable that as we read each other's journals we create mental pictures of each other. Post this on your own journal to find out who your friends see when they read about your life.

Two Rules:
1) It can be anyone in any medium. The person can be specific to a role or character or just the person.
2) Post a picture.

Considering what I know some people think of me on here, I'm VERY curious to see how this turns out.

So, yeah, slowed down considerably.

So expect to see a few of these.

Put your MP3 player on shuffle, and write down the first line of the first twenty-five songs. Post the poem that results. The first line of the twenty-six is the title.

Walked around my good intentions
Lets get down to business
This is where the party ends
Leo woke up in his bed again
When the ship runs out of ocean
I never meant to cause you any sorrow
Yeah, you've been alone
Sixteen military wives
Time time time, see what's become of me
Howdy folks, lets go for a ride
I'm never gonna say the words that you want
Uh huh extra cheese
Let me lay it on the line
Dig my grave
Dust falls in the empty halls of my old school
You keep your head so close to the ground
I died so many years ago
Why is the world in love again?
Our love was
We walked these streets
What would Brian Boitano do if he was here right now?
It's rotten, so rotten here
It's hard to be a Jew on Christmas
She wears her dress high
You're so bad, you're so bad, you're so...

Hmmm...  seemed to be doin' alright until Brian Boitano stepped in.

Impressively, I didn't have to look up any lyrics until I got to the title.  Smashing Pumpkins can be a little too difficult to translate sometimes.

So, here's how it works:
1. Open your library (iTunes, Winamp, Media Player, iPod, etc)
2. Put it on shuffle
3. Press play
4. For every question, type the song that's playing
5. When you go to a new question, press the next button
6. Don't lie and try to pretend you're cool...
That part's going to be hard.

See how we do.  I'm running off my 4G iPod, which isn't at full capacity.

You know how sometimes people on your friend's list post about stuff going on in their life, and all of a sudden you think "Wait a minute? Since when are they working THERE? Since when are they dating HIM/HER? since when???" And then you wonder how you could have missed all that seemingly pretty standard information, but somehow you feel too ashamed to ask for clarification because it seems like info you *should* already know? It happens to all of us sometimes.

Please copy mine below, erase my answers putting yours in their place then post it in your journal! Please elaborate on the questions that would benefit from elaboration! One-Word-Answers seldom help anyone out.

How walkable is your address?

It tallies your address and calculates compared to restaurants, shops, parks, etc, in your neighborhood.

I'm at 32/100.  You?

Via [info]charma_10, [info]almond_joyz, and many many others.  Today was a sick day, so let the boredom begin:

Aim of the Game: For one week, you are to post photographs taken during the day.

Rules:
1. You must take between 6 and 9 new photographs per day.
2. Your WITL must be consecutive. No skipping days.
3. You must post your photographs at the end of that day, sometime after the last picture is taken.
4. Each photograph must have the time taken beneath and a title, with no other explanation.

You must post these rules at your first entry, then link back to it for the other six days so that people will know wtf you're doing.

Your post must say "A Week in the Life of [your name/username], Volume [whatever day you're on]."

Hopefully I'm healthy tomorrow, so things'll be a little more interesting...

Grabbed from [info]niteflite, per her request.  Bold the movies you've seen.

I'm actually gonna do it a little differently (everyone seems to be doing it differently).  I'm gonna bold the ones I KNOW I've seen all the way through, and I'm gonna italicize the ones that I only vaguely remember seeing all the way through.  The trouble's going to be in the remembering, as most of these I haven't seen since I was in elementary school 20-25 years ago, and I'm not sure if I saw all of them or just saw bits, either from getting bored, from just reading the picture book versions, or from only seeing them on DTV, the old Disney music video show.

Also, a lot of these movies I saw against my will when we were visiting my aunt & uncle and their daughter wanted to watch her movies.

Hey, what can I say? Memories vague up a bit when you're trying to remember being six or seven.

Okay, rambling done.  Here goes.
